Interviews
Are determined only after your ERAS application, your personal statement, transcript
and reference letters have been received, read and scored. Dean’s letters are received
the first week of November and they will be scored with the other data. You will
be notified by US Mail if you have been granted an interview.
National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
To ensure your eligibility to be ranked, you should register with NRMP around February
1. Until you register, your Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) identification
number will show as invalid in the NRMP
web site.
United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) STEP II BOARD EXAM
You must successfully pass the USMLE Step I and II before you can enter a residency
program as an intern. Step II should be taken before December to ensure your eligibility
to be ranked for the match. Results are sometimes delayed in reaching the programs,
if results are not received by rank list deadline, the program may not rank you.
Medical Student Clerkship
We offer a four week clerkship that exposes students to the full breadth of family
medicine while taking into consideration your special interests. The clerkship is
available every month and is available to third and fourth year medical students.
If you are interested in a clerkship in family medicine, you can contact our Program
Coordinator, Bev Hilburn at 402-552-2050, or email her at
